Web Based Thin-Client Architecture for Collaborative Visualization

The Shastra WAN collaborative architecture provides a highly exible infrastructure for sophisticated WAN based collaborative network computing. The architecture is being used to create powerful collaborative scienti c visualization applications that can be used througout the Internet. This document presents an explanation of the architecture describing the exibility of the system, relates the architecture to prior work on similar systems highlighting the exibility of the architecture, and shows how this exibility enhances the capabilities of scienti c visualization by presenting a sample application.
